<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windmill, in which an impeller rotates in a horizontal direction relative to air flow to surely and efficiently receive the air flow caused by wind and to efficiently convert the energy of the air flow into a rotary energy of the impeller, and which can be installed in a narrow space. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pinions 12 are fitted to the side surface of a windmill body 2 at intervals in the circumferential direction so as to come in contact with an annular rack 11. A crescent driving wheel 13 as a first rotating member is provided so as to be integrated with the pinions 12, and a driven wheel 14 being a second rotating member is fitted so as to come in contact with the driving wheel 13. The continuous rotating movement of the driving wheel 13 is converted into an intermittent rotating movement of the driven wheel 14, causing the impeller 4 to rotate in the circumferential direction of the windmill body 2 while intermittently changing the angle to the windmill body 2 centering around the rotary shaft 18 as the rotary center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
