<p>The sliding cam system is provided with sliding cams which are arranged on a main shaft, particularly on a shaft serving as the camshaft of a reciprocating internal combustion engine, where an electromagnetically operated device has extendable actuator pins (6,7) for displacing the sliding cams into different axial positions by the slide grooves (2,3) on the circumference of the sliding cams. The control device registers an adjustment induced signal as discard signal (9) by a backward movement of actuator pin.</p> |
