PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING METHOD, AND PRINT CONTROL PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus that includes a photographing unit and a display unit to display an image photographed by the photographing unit, and makes a properly-sized label by displaying an object on which to stick a label and an image of the label before being printed on the display unit.

SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: an input unit; a printing length setting unit; a cartridge determination unit; a tape width setting unit; a tape type selection unit; a printing direction selection unit; a photographing unit; a display unit; a display scale deriving unit for deriving a display scale of a real-time image; a resizing unit for resizing the tape image based on the printing length or width and the tape type in accordance with the display scale derived by the display scale deriving unit; a label image generation unit for generating the label image by synthesizing the inputted character image that is resized by the resizing unit and the tape image; a synthesized image generation unit for synthesizing the label image with the real-time image; and a printing unit.
