CYLINDRICAL WORKPIECE CUTTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical workpiece cutting apparatus that reduces dross as much as possible and also efficiently collects such dusts as spatters.

SOLUTION: The cylindrical workpiece cutting apparatus cuts a metallic cylindrical workpiece in round slices to form metallic rings. The cylindrical workpiece cutting apparatus controls the position of a machining head 200 so that a cutting direction v2 and an irradiation direction v1 of a laser beam in an irradiation position P2 of the laser beam define a predetermined acute angle θ, when irradiating the rotated workpiece W with the laser beam to cut the workpiece. The cylindrical workpiece cutting apparatus includes a dust collecting device 700 for collecting the spatters generated when the laser beam is irradiated the workpiece from the position-controlled machining head 200.
