<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home energy management system capable of estimating the working state of each apparatus without forming a network. <P>SOLUTION: A home energy management system includes: a use power amount database DB1 for recording a use power amount; a working state pattern database DB2 for recording a working state pattern of each apparatus; an apparatus attribute database DB4 for recording an attribute of an apparatus of a user; an apparatus working state estimation means 110 for detecting a working state of the apparatus of the user based on the user power amount and the working state pattern of the apparatus; and an apparatus working state history information database DB3 for recording the detected working state of each apparatus. The apparatus working state estimation means 110 performs a pattern matching between a power amount time-sequence data and an apparatus working state pattern and detects at least one of the turning-on and turning-off time, and the power consumption of each apparatus based on the above pattern matching result.
