<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress thickening of liquid remaining in an annular member and its vicinity. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes: heads 10; cap means each having a cap 40 and an opposing member 7 and capable of taking a sealed state for sealing a discharge space S1 from an outer space S2 and a non-sealed state for opening the discharge space S1 to the outer space S2; a humidified air supply mechanism having a supply port 61a and a discharge port 61b; and a control device for controlling these components. The control device controls the cap means to be in the sealed state and controls the humidified air supply mechanism so that humidified air is supplied from the supply port 61a and discharged from the discharge port 61b with respect to the discharge space S1. The supply port 61a and the discharge port 61b are disposed so as to form a humidification route in which humidified air flowing along the inner peripheral face of a first region 40a of the cap 40 flows along the inner peripheral face of a second region 40b via a space between the discharge port and the opposing member 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
