<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improvement method which requires no special air bubble generator or steps, and generates air bubbles of carbon dioxide simply in the ground under a groundwater surface, thereby unsaturating the ground to prevent liquefaction of the ground. <P>SOLUTION: In the ground, an acid fluid and a carbonate compound are joined together to generate air bubbles of carbon dioxide, thereby unsaturating the ground to prevent liquefaction of the ground.
