<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering the performance of a lithium ion battery that has been deteriorated and a power supply system including recovery means of battery performance. <P>SOLUTION: In a regeneration method of a battery, a process that raises a potential of a negative electrode above a potential of a positive electrode of a lithium ion battery that has been deteriorated, and subsequently drops the potential of the negative electrode under the potential of the positive electrode is performed at least one cycle or more.
