<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic/polymeric semiconductor material which has a stable shelf life of over a decade as well as a long operating life and can be produced in an ambient environment, and also provide a solar cell using the material. <P>SOLUTION: A photovoltaic device includes a substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, and an active layer between the first electrode and the second electrode.
