<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an appropriate place name that is convenient for a user as the place name corresponding to an action place, when recording a personal action history. <P>SOLUTION: The action history recording device records action history data including the place name representing the action place of the user, while acquiring a latitude and a longitude of a current place at a predetermined processing timing using GPS. In the meantime, when the user's action place is a unique place for the user where the user visits habitually or frequently visits, the action history recording device, according to a command of the user, allows the user to input an arbitrary name that is not restricted by the latitude and longitude of the current place.
