PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality radiation image while suppressing power consumption.

SOLUTION: A radiation imaging apparatus (20) is provided with: a radiation conversion panel (52) capable of converting radiation to a radiation image; a signal readout unit (82) for reading out an image signal from the radiation conversion panel (52); a power supply unit (64) which supplies power to the radiation conversion panel (52)and the signal readout unit (82); and readout control units (98 and 108) which control reading out of the image signal by the signal readout unit (82) on the basis of the state of the power supply unit (64).
