<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a caption forcible display function on the basis of TTML(Timed Text Markup Language). <P>SOLUTION: TTML data in which prescribed attribute information on caption forcible display is described in a tag defining an element of a document is created. On a reproduction side of a content, a character based on text data designated by the tag in which the attribute information is written is controlled to be displayed on a display section irrespective of ON/OFF of caption display setting based on the prescribed attribute information in the TTML data. The text data as the prescribed document element in respective document elements (text data as caption) can be displayed irrespective of ON/OFF of the caption display setting with such a structure.
