<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die cast aluminum alloy-made crash can improved in energy absorbing performance while the weight is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A crash can 10 for absorbing a load input to a bumper reinforcement 1 is provided between the end of a side frame 5 extended in the front-rear direction of a vehicle body and a closed cross section part 4 of the bumper reinforcement 1 extended in the vehicle width direction, is formed by die casting of an aluminum alloy. The bumper reinforcement 1 side of the crash can 10 is inserted into the closed cross section part 4 through an opening formed on the side frame 5 side of the closed cross section part 4 of the bumper reinforcement 1 and attached to the bumper reinforcement 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
