<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module in which an effective NA can be more increased, the alignment of a lens can also be performed easily, and efficiency of photo-coupling an LD and an optical fiber can be more improved. <P>SOLUTION: A lens of an optical module comprises a first aspheric lens 9a and a second aspheric lens 9b. The first aspheric lens 9a is provided at an upper side of a lens cap 7 of which the lower end is fixed to an upper face of a stem 6, and the second aspheric lens 9b is mounted to a lens holder 8a which is joined and fixed to an upper end of the lens cap. A magnification of the lens comprising the first aspheric lens 9a and the second aspheric lens 9b is 4 to 7, a number NA of apertures at the side of an optical fiber 20 is 0.13 or more and the number NA of apertures at the side of a laser diode 10 is 0.65 or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
