<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that maintains visibility of images even though a processing time required for displaying an image is shortened by reducing the amount of data. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: a composition part 303 that interpolates thinned image data, merges the interpolated image data with area separation data to create composite data, and allocates color or gradation to the area separation data for every area attribute; and a control part 5 that causes a display part 4 to output the composite data.
