摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a position registration load in a mobile terminal, a base station and a network, by suppressing the frequency of position registration at movement inside and outside a cell range of a compact BTS. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile communication system in which a plurality of cells of different sizes are overlaid includes: a plurality of base stations which control mobile stations respectively existent in a plurality of cells; the mobile stations which moves among a plurality of cells; and a position registration server which registers the existing positions of the mobile stations in the respective cells. Each mobile station includes a position registration controller which notifies the position registration server when moving from a first cell having a first size to a second cell having a second size smaller than the first size included in the first cell, and when moving from the second cell to the first cell, delays notification for a predetermined time before the notification of the movement between the cells to the position registration server, and controls not to notify the position registration server of the movement between the cells, if the mobile station returns to the second cell during the delay of the predetermined time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
