The milling tool (1) has a milling plate (2) fastened to a holder (14) by positive coupling action. The coupling surface (12) is in the shape of rounded polygonal contour polygon, and a recess (11) is formed in end surface of flat-ground coupling surface (13). The milling plate is formed with a through hole (5) coaxially penetrating a head screw (20) in the holder. An axially projecting portion (10) is formed radially outward with respect to a rotational axis (4) from the recess.
