POWER SUPPLY HAVING PROTECTION FUNCTION FOR ABNORMAL VOLTAGE

PURPOSE: A power source supply device with a function for protecting an overvoltage is provided to block an inverting operation when power, which a power factor is corrected, in a power factor correction circuit is increased over a standard level in case that overvoltage is inputted, thereby preventing insulation collapse of a main switch. CONSTITUTION: A power source supplying unit(110) includes a filtering unit(111) filtering electromagnetic interference of commercial AC power source and a rectifying unit(112) rectifying and smoothing filtered power source. The power source supplying unit includes a power factor correcting unit(113) by correcting phase difference of a current and a voltage in the rectified power source. The power source supplying unit includes an inverter unit(114) supplying lamp driving power source; a converter unit(115) supplying multi power source; and a rectification smoothing unit(116) stabilizing the multi power source. A controlling unit(120) provides an inverter control signal controlling an inverting operation of the inverter unit.
