<p>There is disclosed a method for cylinder lubrication of large diesel engines, such as marine engines. Injection of lubricating oil is performed via a number of injection nozzles that correspond to a multiple of the cylinder number in the engine. Lubricating oil is forwarded to the injection nozzles (251) from lubricating apparatuses (252), each comprising a dosing piston with an adjustable stroke for adjustment of the amount of the lubricating oil for the cylinder lubrication. The lubricating apparatuses (252) are connected to local control units (254), which are connected to a central computer (253). The method comprises regulating the stroke, timing, and frequency for the injection by the local control units (254).</p> |
