PURPOSE: A phenylurea or phenylthiourea derivative is provided to be used for treating and preventing diseases caused by influenza virus by having excellent effect restraining increase of influenza virus. CONSTITUTION: A phenylurea or phenylthiourea derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt is in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R^ is C6-8 aryl, or C6-8 aryl C1-2 alkyl, R^2 is -(CH2)n-R^7, or -CH-R^6R^7, R^3 is C1-10 linear or branched alkyl, R^4 is C3-6 cycloalkyl, R^5 is C1-10 linear, or branched alkyl or -NH2, R^6 is C1-4 linear or branched alkyl, C6-8 aryl, or -CH2-OR^3, R^7 is C6-8 aryl, 5-8membered heteroaryl, 5-8membered heterocycloalkyl, 5-8 membered heterocycloalkyl, C6-8 aryl, -COOR^3, or -N(R^3)2, and X is oxygen, nitrogen, or sulfur.
