The device (10) has a supply unit (100) for supplying security papers, and a stacking unit (200) for stacking the security papers. A receiving unit (400) receives a thin-walled transport container (12), and a support unit is rotatably supported around a rotation axis. The container lies on a part of the support unit in a condition filled with security papers, during rotation of the support unit around the rotation axis. A retaining unit (500) retains the security papers that are transported into the container. A closure unit (300) closes a closure unit and closing an opening of the container.
