PURPOSE: A health status diagnosis apparatus and method thereof are provided to automatically diagnose health status using voice in a communication process. CONSTITUTION: A voice sensing unit(110) senses voice by monitoring the voice. A voice analysis unit(120) extracts voice characteristics according to a health status from the voice sensed by the voice sensing unit. A voice diagnosis unit(130) diagnoses the health status by comparing a diseased condition standard with the voice characteristic extracted from the voice analysis unit. The voice diagnosis unit monitors a health change status. A diagnosis output unit(140) outputs signals for the health status and the health change status information.
