PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTANING EXTRACT OF PIPERIS FUTOKANDSURAE CAULIS FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING INFLAMMATORY DISEASE

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Piperis futokandsurae Caulis extract is provided to suppress IL-1beta secretion and to prevent and treat inflammatory diseases without cytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases contains 0.1-50 wt% of Piperis futokandsurae Caulis extract as an active ingredient. A method for preparing Piperis futokandsurae Caulis extract comprises: a step of adding extraction solvent to dry Piperis futokandsurae Caulis and extracting; and a step of filtering the extract and concentrating by reduced pressure. The extraction solvent is water, low carbon alcohol of C1-C4, or a mixture thereof.
