A system (10) for adhesively bonding a first element, in particular a wall panel (2) to a second element, in particular a wall (4), which in particular allows the wall panel (2) tobe more easily recycled when required and removed. The system (10) comprises an adhesive tape (12) or film comprising a carrier layer (14) with adhesive (16) on at least one side of the carrier layer (14) to adhere the tape (12) or foil in use to a rear surface (3) of the first element (2). A mounting adhesive (20) is separately applied and adhered to the other side of the tape (12) and bonds to a surface of the second element (4). The mounting adhesive (20) is applied to the adhesive tape (12) or film separately and subsequently to adhering to the first element (2), and the adhesive tape (12) or film is removably adhered to the first element (2) by the adhesive (16) on the tape or film (12). The tape (12) or film thereby protects and separates the first component (2) from the mounting adhesive (20) such that the tape (12) can be peeled and removed from the first component (2) removing the mounting adhesive (20) with the tape (12) allowing the first component (2) to be more easily recycled uncontaminated by the mounting adhesive (20). |
