摘要 PURPOSE: A rubber composition for tire tread is provided to reduce viscosity, to reduce crosslinking time, to improve abrasion resistance, low heating performance, and low fuel efficiency at the same time by adding calcium oxide. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition for tire tread comprises 30.0 parts by weight of silica as reinforcing filler supposed to be put into 100.0 parts by weight of raw rubber containing one or more kinds selected from natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and comprises 0.5-10 parts by weight of surface-treated calcium oxide as an additive. The surface-treated calcium oxide has a content of calcium oxide of 60% or more. A maximum particle size is 50 micron or less, and water-absorption is 20%. The surface-treated calcium oxide is surface-coated or pre-treated by a surface treating agent selected from process oil, fatty acid and organic material for rubber.
