The filling line (1) has a sterilizer for the finished cooked product, a filler (10) for a vessel (2), a cooling unit arranged between the sterilizer and the filler for the finished cooked product and a closure (11) for the vessel. The environment between the filler and the vessel has environmental temperature of 70 degree Celsius to 130 degree Celsius. The environment comprises less than 5 percent oxygen and a mixture of 95 percent steam and nitrogen. The vessel is made of polypropylene or glass. An independent claim is also included for a method for filling vessels.
