PURPOSE: A cutting apparatus is provided to detect the end position of a product using a camera and a display and precisely detect the absolute size of the product using a calculating unit. CONSTITUTION: A cutting apparatus comprises a transfer unit which transfers a product mounted on a transfer frame from one side to the other and loads and stops the product at a predetermined length, a laser beam generator(5) which generates a laser beam for cutting the product, a cutting head(10) which irradiates the product with the laser beam provided by the laser beam generator, a head driver which cuts the loaded product by horizontally moving the cutting head in the transverse direction of the product, and a detector(20) which measures the size of the product, detects the position of both ends of the product to obtain a size in the transverse or longitudinal direction of the product, or detects both ends of a predetermined section of the product to obtain the length of the predetermined section. |
