<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator easy in assembling work. <P>SOLUTION: This gas generator is provided with a housing 11, an ignition means, a gas generating agent and a cylindrical filter 20. The ignition means includes an ignition device 40 having an igniter 40a and an inflammation explosive 70 filled into an inflammation explosive cup member 30. An opening 65 of the inflammation explosive cup member 30 is closed by a lid 80.
