The present invention relates to phosphoric triesters which comprise apolar lipid structures. In one aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a compound of the formula (I) (see formula I) in which R1 to R3 are as defined herein. The compounds of the present disclosure are suitable for preparing liposomes and as liposome constituents.
