PURPOSE: A data writing method and an apparatus performing the same are provided to store data to be written in a block in a cache in generation of write fault. CONSTITUTION: A preamplifier(16) senses an abnormal situation that first data is written in a first block by using a head. The preamplifier generates a write unsafe signal. An HDC(Hard Disc Controller)(22) senses write fault based on the write unsafe signal. The HDC transmits the first data to a cache. The HDC transmits second data to a read/write channel circuit in order to write the second data in a second block by using the head.
