PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing bean curd water is provided to suppress melanosome mobility and to prevent pigmentation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains 0.01-20.0 wt% of bean curd water as an active ingredient. The composition further contains 0.005-20 wt% of ortho-dihydroxyisoflavone or derivative thereof or Glycyrrhiza extract. The ortho-dihydroxyisoflavone or derivative thereof contains 7,8,4'-trihydroxyisoflavone or 7,3',4'-trihydroxyisoflavone. The composition is used for antioxidation and melanogenesis suppression.
