Class 110(3) In an explosion gas turbine plant used for supplying combustion gases under pressure comprising a plurality of nozzle valves through which separate portions of combustion gases are withdrawn from the explosion chambers and expanded in turbine nozzles and blades and the residual gases are expelled from the explosion chambers through outlet valves by the charging air, the initial pressure pw of each of said gas portions is approximately equal to p 0 (p1/p0)<SP>n+1-a</SP> n where p 0 is the pressure of the charging air, p, the maximum pressure in the combustion chamber at which expansion commences, n the number of gas portions discharged from the .explosion chamber at pressures higher than the charging pressure and a the chronological serial number of a partial expansion in a sequence of such expansions. The invention is described with reference to an explosion gas turbine plant as described in Specifications 759,840 and 759,841. The ratio between the maximum explosion pressure and the charging pressure is preferably between 4 and 5.5 to 1.
