PURPOSE: A communication gateway device for a substation automation device is provided to convert all transceiving data into a computer file in the substation automation device. CONSTITUTION: A VME(VERSA Module Eurocard) bus(1) provides a communication route for data communication. A PCI-VME(Peripheral Component Interconnect-VERSA Module Eurocard) module(4) is connected to the VME bus. A PCI-VME includes a bus bridge circuit. The PCI-VME transmits data of the bus to a PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus or the VME bus. A plurality of input/output modules(3-1~3-n) are connected to the VME bus.
