PURPOSE: A high efficiency automatic voltage regulator using a micom is provided to simultaneously reduce load loss and no-load loss by automatically controlling a voltage suitable for a load factor. CONSTITUTION: A high efficiency automatic voltage regulator is composed of a micom(200) and an SCR(Silicon Controlled Rectifier). The micom analyzes and controls input and out voltages(10,20). A toroidal core(100) includes a current winding(31) and an exciting circuit(41,42,43,44) including four taps. Switches(S1-S10) is operated by the micom.
