PURPOSE: A tandem type electro-gas welding device is provided to improve deposition efficiency by increasing the amount of deposit metal supplied to a welding zone per unit time. CONSTITUTION: A tandem type electro-gas welding device comprises a preceding torch unit(100) which is located in an upper part(A) of a welding zone(10) obliquely extended from top to bottom and has a single electrode(120) for welding base metal(30) and a following torch unit(200) which interlocks with the preceding torch unit, has a pair of electrodes(220,220') arranged side by side under the preceding torch unit, and is located in a lower part(B) of the welding zone to weld the base metal.
