PURPOSE: A data collecting method for a portable terminal including an embedded Linux and the portable terminal using the method are provided to quickly and easily search for internal data of a portable terminal using the embedded Linux. CONSTITUTION: A trigger condition is set in a table of a database(S500). If the generation, modification, and deletion of data are performed in an application program according to the trigger condition, the application program generates triggered data(S510,S520). A data collecting unit collects the triggered data in real time(S530). The data collecting unit transmits the triggered data to a data storage unit in the outside of the database.
