The actuator (1) has a stepper motor (2) including a stator (3) and a rotor (4) rotating about a rotational axis. A linear screw system comprises a linear displacement member (7) and a screw part (6) that extends along the rotational axis of the rotor. Bearings (15, 16) support the screw part. A base (12) and side walls (13, 14) of a support (5) are integrated and form a single piece that is made only or mainly from a stamped metal sheet. One of the walls is mounted against one of axial faces (30, 31) of the motor. The other wall is remote from the motor, and supports one of the bearings.
