The bag (20) has a tube comprising two sides, where an end of the tube includes a U-shaped insert strip (30), and the sides of the tube are formed between flaps of the insert strip. A closure line i.e. stitching line (34), provides a connection between the insert strip and the rest of the bag, where the height of the insert strip and the distance separating a curved end of the strip and the stitching line are maintained such that a cut-out (38) formed at each flap of the strip acts as a handle between the curved end of the strip and the stitching line.
