Composition comprises at least one direct dye having a disulfide, thiol or protected thiol functional group (I) or its salt with an organic or inorganic acid, or its optical or geometric isomers, tautomers and solvates, such as hydrates, at least one thickening organic polymer, at least one (poly)ethoxylated fatty alcohol and/or at least one nonionic surfactant, at least one alkaline agent, preferably comprising at least one amino group, and at least one reducing agent.
