COMBINATIONS OF SAPACITABINE OR CNDAC WITH DNA METHYLTRANSFERASE INHIBITORS SUCH AS DECITABINE AND PROCAINE

Discloses a combination comprising a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor and a second compound. The DNA methyltransferase inhibitor is either azacitidine and decitabine and the second compound is either sapacitabine (1-(2-C-cyano-2-deoxy-â-D-arabino-pentofuranosyl)-N4-palmitoyl cytosine) or a metabolite thereof which is CNAC (1-(2-C-cyano-2-deoxy-â-D-arabino-pentofuranosyl)-cytosine). Further discloses the use of the combination in the preparation of a medicament for treating a cellular proliferative disorder e.g. cancers. The components of the medicament may be administered simultaneously, separately or sequentially.
