Disclosed are arylsulfonamide compounds of formula (I-a), and methods for their preparation. Specific examples of compounds of formula (I-a) include: N-(4-(4-((4'-chloro(1,1'-biphenyl)-2-yl)methyl)piperazin-1-yl)benzoyl)-4-(((1R)-3-(dimethylamino)-1-((phenylsulfanyl)methyl)propyl)amino)-3-nitrobenzenesulfonamide, N-(4-(4-((2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5,5-dimethyl-1-cyclohex-1-en-1-yl)methyl)piperazin-1-yl)benzoyl)-4-(((1R)-3-(morpholin-4-yl)-1-((phenylsulfanyl)methyl)propyl)amino)-3-((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)benzenesulfonamide, and 4-(((1R)-3-(dimethylamino)-1-((phenylsulfanyl)methyl)propyl)amino)-3-nitro-N-(4-(4-((4'-phenoxy(1,1'-biphenyl)-2-yl)methyl)piperazin-1-yl)benzoyl)benzenesulfonamide. Compounds of formula (I-a) are useful for treating arthritis. |
