The present invention relates to a safety device for a door. The objective of the present invention is to provide a safety device comprising: fixing members fixed at the tops and bottoms of opposite inner surfaces of a door frame; rotating members rotatably connected to the respective fixing members via elastic means; and closing plates which interconnect the rotating members so as to close the gap between the door and the door frame. Thus, the safety device of the present invention may be installed when the door is already installed, thereby enabling easy installation and improving work efficiency. The objective of the present invention may be achieved by means of the safety device for a door, comprising: fixing members, one side of each of which having a lower portion to which a connection piece, the upper surface of which has a through-hole and which has an accommodation hole, is integrally formed; rotating shafts, each of which is inserted into the accommodation hole formed in the fixing member such that one end of the rotating shaft penetrates through the through-hole and protrudes so as to get caught at the rotating member; coil springs, through the center of each of which the rotating shaft penetrates, and one end of each of which is fixed at the outer surface of the other end of the rotating shaft so as to provide torsional force to the rotating shaft in response to the rotation of the rotating shaft; adjustment members, each of which blocks the other end of the accommodation hole of the fixing member so as to enable the other end of the coil spring to get caught at the adjustment member, such that the adjustment member is capable of adjusting the torsional force of the coil spring in response to the fastening and unfastening operation of the adjustment member; rotating members, one end of each of which is connected to and fixed at the rotating shaft having passed through the through-hole of the fixing member such that the other end of the rotating member receives force for pressing the door by means of the coil spring, wherein the upper surface of the rotating member has an insertion slot formed in a horizontal direction; and closing plates, both ends of each of which are inserted into the insertion slot formed at the top of the rotating member installed at the bottom of the inner surface of the door frame and into the insertion slot formed at the bottom of the rotating member installed at the top of the inner surface of the door frame, respectively, such that the closing plates close the gaps between both ends of the door and the door frame to prevent hands or clothing of a user from being caught in the gaps. |
