摘要 <p>A spatial light modulation device (1A) comprises: a phase modulation spatial light modulation element (10); a temperature sensor which detects the temperature of the spatial light modulation element (10); and a control unit (20A) which provides a drive signal (SD) to the spatial light modulation element (10). The control unit (20A) further comprises a storage unit (22). The storage unit (22) stores n correction patterns (where n is an integer greater than 1) for correcting a phase distortion of the spatial light modulation element (10), which are created corresponding to n temperature values of the spatial light modulation element (10). The control unit (20A) selects one correction pattern according to the temperature value of the spatial light modulation element (10), adds the correction pattern to a desired phase pattern, and generates the drive signal (SD) on the basis of the phase pattern created thereby. It is thus possible to alleviate phase distribution distortion associated with temperature changes in the spatial light modulation element while suppressing delays in operation.</p>
