The method involves associating a pressure control unit (5) with a turbine (7) for controlling pressure of fluid impinging on the turbine, so that electrical energy required for operation of measurement electronics (3) is generated with small amount of flow of fluid. Pressure loss affecting the fluid flow through a fitting (2) is limited to a maximum value. The pressure loss is measured in accordance with the control of the pressure control unit, where the pressure control unit changes the fluid flow flowing in cross-section of the turbine. An independent claim is also included for a device for feeding a measuring electronic system.
