<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell in which reaction gas can be supplied uniformly and reliably from a reaction gas interconnection hole to the reaction gas passage entirely through a buffer section, and excellent power generation performance can be maintained with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A second separator 18 configuring a fuel cell 10 is provided, on the front and back thereof, with a first inlet buffer section 52 and a second inlet buffer section 60. The first inlet buffer section 52 has a first dedicated buffer region 52a contiguous to an oxidant gas inlet interconnection hole 30a and distributes the oxidant gas while regulating distribution of fuel gas on the second inlet buffer section 60 side, and a common buffer region 52b contiguous to a first oxidant gas passage 50.
