<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter device which does not apply overvoltage to an additional apparatus when a cable way of a power system is released and to provide a control method of the converter device. <P>SOLUTION: The converter device includes: a PWM command calculation section which is connected to a DC power supply section and performs current control; a converter converting DC power into AC power by a PWM command from the PWM command calculation section; and a filter connected between the converter and an external power system. The PWM command calculation section calculates a frequency based on voltage on a power system side of the filter, generates a block signal when the calculated frequency exceeds a threshold, cuts off output of the PWM command to the converter by generation of the block signal and prevents occurrence of overvoltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
