<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor having a wide dynamic range and a reduced temperature dependency, and to provide a display device using the optical sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An optical sensor has: an accumulation node; a reset signal wire; a reading signal wire; an optical detection element; a reference element having a light-shielding layer; a first switching element reading and outputting a potential of the accumulation node varied depending on a current depending on a light amount and flowing in the optical detection element and a current flowing in the reference element according to a reading signal, in a sensing time period from when a reset signal is supplied to when a reading signal is supplied; and a second switching element provided between the accumulation node and the reference element, and setting between the accumulation node and the reference element to be in a non-conductive state in the case that the potential of the accumulation node becomes higher than that of the reference element on an opposite side of the accumulation node when the reading signal is supplied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
