<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce resolution of an image by changing a reduction rate in a row direction and a column direction respectively without using a high performance circuit as well as avoiding increase of a circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A conversion device comprises: a horizontal processing part which accepts pixel data pieces one by one in the order of raster scan and multiplies it by a coefficient according to an applying reduction rate in a row direction determined according to an accepted order and the accepted order to generate a first processing data piece and adds them, thereby generating plural first processed data pieces each showing part of each of plural pixels in a reduced image; and a vertical processing part which accepts the plural first processed data pieces one by one and multiplies it by a coefficient according to a reduction rate in a column direction determined according to an accepted order and the accepted order to generate a second processing data piece and adds them based on the applying reduction rate in the row direction and the number of pixels in the row direction of the image, thereby generating plural second processed data pieces each showing each of plural pixels in the reduced image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
