<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating type connector capable of preventing a contact from being plastically deformed in a fitting direction. <P>SOLUTION: The floating type connector has a movable side housing 20, a stationary side housing 10 movably accepting the movable side housing 20, and a receptacle side contact 30. The receptacle side contact 30 is elastically deformed while it is mounted along the stationary side housing 10 and the movable side housing 20, and therefore, the movable side housing 20 can move relative to the stationary side housing 10. The movable side housing 20 is held and accepted in the stationary side housing 10 by a moving range definition accepting part 12d and a moving range definition projecting part 23. The moving range definition accepting part 12d and the moving range definition projecting part 23 restrain the movable side housing 20 from moving in a fitting direction beyond a predetermined traveling amount while allowing the movable side housing 20 to move along a face orthogonal to a direction, in which the movable side housing 20 is fitted with a plug connector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
