<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal apparatus which includes a brake pedal which is stepped on for brake operation, an accelerator pad which is rotated in the lateral direction within a predetermined angle range for accelerator operation, an accelerator lever and an accelerator arm, wherein timing of starting of an accelerator, acceleration thereof and the like can be adjusted for different automobile models from different manufacturers. <P>SOLUTION: A pedal apparatus 1 includes a brake pedal 2 which is stepped on for brake operation, an acceleration pad 3 which is rotated in the lateral direction within a predetermined angle range for accelerator operation, an acceleration lever 11 and an acceleration arm 15. Even when it is attached in place of a conventional pedal type brake and accelerator, adjustments of starting of an accelerator, acceleration thereof and the like can easily be made according to different automobile models from different manufacturers and the preference of a driver, and therefore when the driver tries to brake suddenly while the accelerator is in an operating position, a time delay due to changing of a pedal to step on from the accelerator to the brake and an erroneous stepping are eliminated and the brake can be accurately applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
